Eva R. Gardner
Eva is a shareholder who joined Ashburn & Mason in 2013. Her practice focuses on civil litigation and appeals, with a particular emphasis on real estate (including eminent domain) matters, employment law, commercial disputes, regulatory and administrative proceedings, and copyright and trademark issues. She has appellate experience at both the state and federal level, which includes successfully briefing Sturgeon v. Frost, 136 S.Ct. 1061 (2016) and 587 U.S. ___ (2019) to the Supreme Court of the United States.
Eva is committed to pro bono work and volunteers with Alaska Legal Services Corporation, the Alaska Network on Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault, and Anchorage Youth Court. She is also active in the community: she is a past board member of the Anchorage Association of Women Lawyers, a co-chair of the Alaska Bar Association's Intellectual Property, Arts, and Entertainment Law Section, a Trustee of the Alaska Bar Foundation, and a member of the Arctic Entries Storyboard.
Before joining the firm, Eva served as a law clerk for the Honorable Sharon L. Gleason in the U.S. District Court for the District of Alaska and Alaska Superior Court. In law school, Eva served on the NYU Annual Survey of American Law, helped found the NYU Art Law Society, and interned at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum.
Eva spends most of her spare time exploring the outdoors by ski, bike, or foot.
